Do you remember my quick-and-easy steak marinade recipe? I’ve added some tweaks to that recipe, in order to create this do-it-all all-purpose marinade. It works for chicken, fish, steak and any type of wild game you can think of. What I love about this marinade is that it’s fast acting- the flavors really soak into meat quickly.
I’ll be honest. Raw meat isn’t photogenic. Raw poultry is worse. But, this marinade is pretty dang good, and makes chicken look just a tad better.
I grilled our chicken, which put an amazing crust on the outside. This all-purpose marinade kept the inside of the chicken nice and juicy, even after a long photoshoot 😉
Although I love this marinade on chicken and steak, it is by far the most amazing marinade for salmon. Even writing about it makes me want it! Give this recipe a try, and tell me what type of meat you think it works best on!

- Mix ingredients in a ziploc bag. Place meat of choice in bags, and marinate for 1-24 hours.
Also, I use a ziploc bag when I’m marinating meat for an extended amount of time. I think it’s easier, as you can shake and distribute the marinade better. I also use tupperware or a glass container. I recommended a ziploc in the recipe, but you are free to use whatever is convenient for you!
