Every trip to Ulta, I try to switch up the products I use. Occasionally, I’ll find products that become repeat purchases. These 5 makeup products I love are them, and I keep going back for more!
I will start off by saying I’m in no way a beauty or makeup guru. It has taken me years to figure out what my skin type is, as well as what works for my skin and what doesn’t. To start, I have dry skin. Winter is always much worse for my skin, but I need plenty of hydration year round. I also have cystic acne around my chin, jaw and cheeks, as well as acne scarring. Not to mention, the years of being in tanning beds and in the sun without sunscreen. The 5 products listed are not the only things I use. Although, I wish that were the case! The 5 makeup products I chose to highlight are ones that I’ve found myself buying more than once and absolutely loving how they look.

1. Benefit Pore Primer
I’m putting the Pore Fessional Benefit Pore Primer as my first on this list, because this is one product I will not go without. There are 3 different types- hydrate primer, pearl primer, and my favorite, the pore primer. The pore primer also comes in 3 different sizes- jumbo, full and mini.
This stuff is legit the bomb. I wouldn’t say I have huge pores, but they are noticeably smaller after using this. It also makes my skin look smooth, and fills in the fine lines around my forehead and eyes.

2. Smashbox Concealer
There’s no wonder the Smashbox Skin Flawless Concealer has a 4.4 rating with over 3,000 reviews- it’s a good one! I use the light neutral to cover up my dark circles, blue veins and angry blemishes. It’s a very creamy and thick concealer, so a little can go a long way. Fyi, I naturally have an olive skin tone, so I like to pick neutral products or products that have yellow hues.

3. Benefit Hoola Bronzer
Back in the day, I used to get the Sephora Play box. In my box, I got the Benefit Hoola Matte Bronzer. I loved it, but didn’t love the price. Instead of buying it again, I bought other bronzers instead. I tried a stick bronzer, and different drugstore bronzers, but didn’t care for any of them. I ended up picking up the Caramel Hoola Matte Bronzer, and I’m never looking back! Not even exaggerating, it has over 76,000 reviews with a 4.6 rating.
Along with the original bronzer and caramel, there’s also lite and toasted. The regular bronzer comes in different sizes, like the pore primer does (jumbo and mini).

4. Laura Mercier Powder
The Laura Mercier Translucent Powder is another product I received in my Sephora Playbox. I actually tossed it to the side and was disappointed I got it, before I even tried it. How wrong was I!
Due to my dry skin, I didn’t utilize powder to set under my eyes. Honestly, not only was I not using the right products, but I didn’t know what I was doing. I also used to use my blender dry, if that gives you any hints at how inexperienced I am at makeup. Let me tell you – the right products and practice, and this stuff became one of my favorites! I get the Translucent Honey, which is for medium skin tones.

5. Urban Decay Setting Spray
There’s a few variations of the Urban Decay Setting Spray. I can’t speak for the others, but this one is awesome! I can attest that it does last all night, as I accidentally fell asleep in my makeup after a night out. Oops!
As far as sizing goes, there’s only two. There is a 4.0 oz and a 1.0 oz. Obviously, the small spray is great for traveling, especially if you are flying.
If you are interested in checking out the other sprays, there is the All nighter Ultra Matte and All Nighter Ultra Glow.
